The Challenge

How Webs tackled the massive translation task of 200+ pages in record time

In May 2024, Webs went live with a completely redesigned website focused on an improved user experience, a more modern look and feel, and a clear positioning as a HubSpot Elite Partner. Previously Webs was known as a marketing consultancy, but with HubSpot's shift from a "marketing tool" to a fully integrated, AI-driven CRM system, Webs' positioning had to change as well. This new focus meant that the branding and website had to be completely redesigned to reflect this new direction.

The website, which included more than 200 pages, was initially only available in Dutch at launch. Although the site was technically and visually compliant, it quickly became apparent that Webs was missing out on many international leads. The new, updated brand was not easily visible to English-speaking prospects, leading to a loss of traffic and potential customers.

The central question became: how could Webs quickly create an English-language version of the website, without bringing in outside translation agencies or exceeding the internal capacity of the marketing team? The English-language website needed to go live as soon as possible to restore international relevance to prospects. The translation process was essential, but given the size of the website (over 200 pages) and the pressure to move quickly, a solution needed to be efficient, cost-effective and scalable.

The solution

Webs decided to perform the translation in-house using the HubSpot Content Hub. This relatively new tool within the HubSpot ecosystem allows existing content to be easily duplicated, managed and translated within one central environment.

Within just two days, the entire website was translated and put live in English. Without the use of external agencies or complex workflows. Content Hub's built-in tools provided exactly what was needed: speed, control and consistency.

What was particularly striking was how smoothly the process ran. Version control and workflow functionality allowed team members to easily collaborate on translations without losing track. Also, the English pages could be optimized for SEO right away, so that the new version not only went live, but was also findable in search engines.

Thanks to version management and workflows, the team worked smoothly together on translations without losing track of things. SEO optimization could be applied immediately, making the English-language site not only online, but also easy to find.

The structure of the original pages was maintained: brand story, design and CTAs remained consistent across all languages. Only the texts were replaced - quickly, efficiently and scalably.
